Sheri began working for Office of Court Administration (OCA) in February 2020 as a Court Consultant, evaluating and aiding courts across the state with analysis of practices and procedures and implementing best practices for State, County and Municipal courts and departments. Prior to working with OCA, Sheri worked for Tom Green County for 32 years, and was elected District Clerk in 1999. Sheri has served on the board Executive Board of the County and District Clerks Association of Texas (CDCAT), serving as President in 2012, CDCAT Board Of Directors, CDCAT Legislative Chair, Education Chair and various other CDCAT committees. Sheri also was appointed to various state committees, including the Judicial Committee on Information Technology, which she served for 8 years as the District Clerk representative, various appointed Task force and state committees. She was honored as District Clerk of the Year by her peers in 2005.
As District Clerk in 2003, Tom Green County was one of the first to adopt e-filing and with collaboration from the District Judges and court personnel, Tom Green County adopted paperless solution in Civil and Criminal District Courts well before the mandate of e-file.
Personal Information:
Sheri is married to Lloyd for 39 years; is the mother of four children, Whitney, Davis, Elijah, and Cobi with 6 grandchildren. She has served her community in various roles, including president on the board for Hospice of San Angelo, supporter and contributor of the area-wide National Adoption Day and CASA's Blue Ribbon Child abuse Prevention Month raising awareness of the plight of children in the Concho Valley who have been victims of violence and other abuse.
Hobbies:
Sheri is an active member of Glen Meadows Baptist Church, and enjoys singing, art, and refurbishing furniture.
