The Honorable Grace M. Uzomba, serves as the elected Judge in Bexar County Court at Law No. 2. She is a military veteran retiring as a Major after 20 years of service in the U.S. Army. After which, she acquired her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s School of Law, where is also served as the Deputy Director of the Center for Terrorism Law.
Judge Uzomba has been involved with Specialty Courts since 2008, serving a defense attorney and selected by San Antonio Defense Lawyers Association to help start the misdemeanor Veterans Treatment Court in 2012 with the late Judge Ray Olivarri.
Judge Uzomba served on the Board of TAPS during its formation as their General Counsel and Tax Matters person. With regard to the Art. 16.22, Judge Uzomba played a pivotal role in ensuring the dissemination of this report through the Bexar County e-discovery system to the Defense and State attorneys. Further presenting on the matter at the Joint Commission on Mental Health summit in 2020, with Judge Specia as the moderator.
