Nqobile “Bille” Chitimbire is the Chief Operating Officer of Esusu, a leading financial technology company helping renters build credit, offering property management analytics, and delivering rental assistance programs. Since joining in 2021, he has been instrumental in Esusu’s growth from seed stage to a $1.2 billion Series C valuation, overseeing a number of key functions, including Risk & Compliance, Product & Engineering, Customer Support, and People & Culture, just to name a few. His leadership has driven major initiatives that transformed teams, strengthened organizational performance, and positioned Esusu as one of the fastest-growing fintech platforms in the U.S. Before Esusu, Bille built a career in banking and risk management across multiple institutions. He served as First Vice President and Head of Enterprise & Market Risk at Bank Leumi USA, led repo style transactions (Repos, Securities and margin lending) and regulatory capital initiatives at Barclays Investment Bank, and advanced quickly at Flushing Bank, where he directed enterprise, credit, liquidity, and capital allocation risk programs, including asset liability management. Beyond his corporate career, Bille is the Managing Partner of Africa Growth LLC, investing in debt and equity opportunities across Africa, and actively supports philanthropic efforts around financial access, clean water, and youth empowerment. He holds a Master’s in International Business and Policy from Georgetown University and a BSc in Finance and Economics from Adelphi University, both magna cum laude, and has completed CFA Levels I and II Program.
