Dr. Sanjun Gu and Extension Specialist for Horticulture and SARE Coordinator at Virginia State University. Previously, Dr. Gu had been the Horticulture Extension Specialist and SARE Coordinator at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and the State Vegetable Specialist for Missouri. Dr. Gu has worked in horticultural research and extension for more than 35 years. His areas of training and expertise include organic and sustainable vegetable and small fruit production, season extension, and plant breeding and tissue culture. Dr. Gu’s research and extension goal is to increase the on-farm profitability and environmental stewardship of small farms.
