Session 6 - Putting the Neuro back in Neurorehabilitation: Why acute rehab isn't an oxymoron

Dr Harri Sivasathiaseelan is a Consultant Neurologist at The Royal London Hospital, where he established and now leads the Rapid Access Acute Rehabilitation (RAAR) Unit. He heads a multidisciplinary team of nursing professionals, psychologists, neuropsychiatrists, and therapists, delivering high-quality Level 1 rehabilitation in an acute setting.
Dr Sivasathiaseelan completed his medical training at Southampton University and earned a PhD from University College London. His doctoral research focused on social cognition and emotion processing in dementia.
In addition to his expertise in neurorehabilitation, Dr Sivasathiaseelan has a specialised interest in disorders of cognition, both in neurodegenerative conditions and brain injury.
