Workshop 4F: EveryDay Strong: How PTAs can help address depression and anxiety

Michaelann Gardner is the Program Director for United Way of Utah County's EveryDay Strong project. She received her bachelor's degree in 2012 from Brigham Young University in Communication Disorders and Sociology. Since then, she has worked on several nonprofit projects, specializing in creating strategy for projects that are scrappy and just getting started. From 2012-2017, she ran marketing and fundraising projects for United Way of Utah County. From 2012-2018, she helped build the startup nonprofit LDS Earth Stewardship, including serving as board chair, resulting in a large operational funding grant from the Nature Conservancy. From 2018 to present, she serves in a part-time capacity as CEO of the startup nonprofit the Mormon Transhumanist Association, establishing a legal, financial, and strategic foundation. She has been deeply committed to community-based mental health for many years, serving at the Utah County Suicide and Crisis Line from 2012-2013 and as a Spiritual Care Volunteer at the Utah Valley Hospital from 2015-2016.
