Jane Fleishman, Ph.D., M.Ed., M.S., is a Certified Sexuality Educator with more than 30 years’ experience. She travels the US and abroad leading pre-conference seminars and workshops for professionals and scholars, community centers for queer youth, continuing care communities for aging adults and their caregivers, and workshops for teachers, parents,and youth.
For her doctoral dissertation research, she assessed the sexual satisfaction of aging adults in same-sex relationships. Jane co-hosts a podcast, Our Better Half (www.ourbetterhalf.net) with Dr. Ashley Mader. She just finished writing a book about LGBTQIA+ elders and the impact of the Stonewall Rebellion on their sexuality, politics, and aging process. Jane has led organizational change programs for social change organizations, public sector agencies, unions and universities in the US. She works at the intersection of age, sex, gender, race, and class. She lives in Northampton, Massachusetts with her partner, Joan Tabachnick, where they have raised two children and are involved in many civic and volunteer activities in their community.
