Cheryl Springer, PhD, LICSW joined the Salem State University School of Social Work faculty in 1998 and served as the School's Director from 2005 to 2013. Dr. Springer's previous academic appointments include New York University, Smith College School for Social Work, and San Francisco State University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin - Madison; her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California; and her doctoral degree from Smith College School for Social Work. Dr. Springer's direct practice experience involves work with adolescents and families during critical transitions such as divorce, remarriage, and major losses.
