Ryan Piche is the County Manager for Lewis County. Mr. Piche has held leadership positions in local government for ten years, including roles as Village Manager, City Manager, and now County Manager. Mr. Piche studied Economics and English Literature at Le Moyne College, and earned his Master’s in Public Administration from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at SUNY Albany. Located in the scenic Black River Valley, with the Adirondack Park to the east and Tug Hill Plateau to the west, Lewis County is home to 26,000 residents. The County Manager is the appointed CEO, reporting to the County Board of Legislators. Lewis County has 285 employees and a $63M annual budget. The County also owns and operates Lewis County Health System which includes a Hospital, Nursing Home, and several community clinics.
