A socio-spatial scientist and former nurse practitioner, Michelle Ossmann is dedicated to improving health through rigorous research and design directs health environment research for MillerKnoll. She and her team focus on how human-centered, research-informed design can improve the health experience and outcomes for patients, families, and staff. Dr. Ossmann speaks and publishes widely on issues related to risk mitigation, the perception and experience of care, and workplace performance. Dr. Ossmann received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing from Emory University, and her PhD in Architecture from The Georgia Institute of Technology.
