LeAnn Schlamb is Clinical Planner with VA Office of Construction and Facilities Management. Earned a BSN from the University of Cincinnati in 1990, MSN in forensic nursing from Xavier University in 2003, and an Ed. S degree in adult education from Walden University in 2012. She joined the Cincinnati VA Medical Center in 2008 as a nurse educator. While serving in this role, she identified a need to introduce learning through simulation. LeAnn subsequently developed and coordinated the simulation program at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. In 2016, she joined the SimLEARN. She has a broad range of experience developing and delivering education and has implemented simulation programs with interprofessional groups utilizing multiple simulation modalities within healthcare organizations. LeAnn’s role at SimLEARN is to led team focus on assessment of clinical space using process simulation, quality improvement, collaboration, and field-based simulation education. Her goal is to improved Veteran outcomes by ensuring the standardization of best practices, embracing opportunities for innovation, and the networking of resources.
