Kelly Dolan Sapp is an internationally recognized Social Emotional Learning Subject matter Expert (SME), Coach, Professional Learning facilitator, and staff developer. Kelly is the Director of Practice for Edu.Solve, an Educational consulting firm that supports Social Emotional Learning implementation and integration at the District, school, and classroom level at districts throughout the United States. She also consults on MTSS, Special Education, Autism, and PBIS.
Before working in consulting, Kelly served as the principal fellow of the Wallace Foundation’s national demonstration project for social and emotional learning, with primary responsibilities for principal and teacher leader development in culture and student behavioral growth. She has served as a coach, large urban curriculum developer and teacher-leader in a variety of innovative demonstration schools and networks. As a SEL Coach and Staff Developer for the Partnership for Social Emotional Learning Initiative (PSELI) project, Kelly oversaw the School District of Palm Beach county's portion of the PSELI project. This nationwide study sought to understand whether and how students benefit from aligned campus-wide (in school and afterschool) experiences that fosters children’s social emotional learning. Working with collaborative partners such as The Wallace Foundation, CASEL, RAND, and Learning Sciences International, she has been given an unparalleled experience.
Kelly has worked as a school-based Administrator at both public and charter schools and began her profession as a founding member of High Tech Middle Media Arts with the High Tech High community of schools. She has spent over 20 years in education, whether it was in the classroom, as a school-based administrator or District support provider. Kelly has presented both nationally and internationally with her most recent session for The Arc of Pennsylvania's IncludiCon 2022 Keynote - "Thriving: Using Equity as a Level for SEL" and at Deeper Learning China (2021) “Time to SELebrate!”. She is currently earning her Ed. D. at Chaminade University of Honolulu in Education in Organizational Leadership for Adaptation and Change focusing specifically on Adult Social Emotional Learning.
