Dr. Jennie Winters has facilitated curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development for over two decades. She has served as a teacher, district administrator, regional, state, and national trainer. She led the Illinois State Board of Education Model Mathematics Curriculum Project to guide educators to revise curriculum, instruction, and assessment for the CCSS. Jennie has an M.A. in Teaching and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Aurora University and a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She earned a PhD, specializing in Assessment, Evaluation, and Accountability at Walden University. Dr. Winters is a full-time faculty member for the School of Education McKendree University, teaching in the paraprofessional certification, MAT, MAED, EdS, and EdD programs. She also serves as an adjunct professor of education and mathematics teaching undergraduate students. She is a national presenter, facilitating professional learning on assessment, practical data use, and standards-based instruction. Her consultant work in partnership with multiple regional offices of education supports school improvement efforts in numerous school districts in the Midwest.
