Dawn Southwell serves as the Director of Commercial and Industrial Accounts for the Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc. (PEC) where she leads a dynamic team charged with the development and implementation of partnerships with large commercial and industrial members on power supply and energy programs, alternative energy solutions, energy management, power quality, business growth and project development.
Dawn joined PEC in 2017 bringing over a decade of utility experience and knowledge of large commercial members and program management. During her time at PEC, she has lead a team executing the successful development and management of many cooperative-wide initiatives while also overseeing the non-residential segment of the membership and a successful key accounts program comprised of large commercial members making up nearly $60 million in annual revenue for the cooperative.
Southwell received her B.A. from the University of Texas at San Antonio and resides just north of San Antonio, Texas in Schertz with her husband Mark and two children, Tripp and Emmersyn.
The Commercial and Industrial Accounts team alongside a cooperative-wide commitment to delivering low-cost, reliable and safe energy solutions for the benefit of the membership, have assisted PEC’s steady growth reaching just over 370,000 meters in 2022. PEC is the nation’s largest distribution electric cooperative and very proud to serve the Texas Hill Country and beyond.
