Sam is an experienced family law attorney, court-appointed Private Guardian ad Litem, and Special Master. He is a past member of the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the Utah State Bar and a longtime supporter and presenter for the Utah Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC). With many years of experience as both a Special Master and Guardian ad Litem, Sam brings a deep understanding of court proceedings and the complexities of family law. His work often centers on child custody disputes, estrangement, and alienation issues, where he provides careful, thorough insight into the unique circumstances of each case. By balancing his legal expertise with a child-focused perspective, Sam helps guide families toward resolution with clarity and compassion. Sam has been recognized as one of Utah’s top family law attorneys, named among Utah’s Legal Elite by Utah Business Magazine and selected as a Mountain States Super Lawyer. He also received the Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award from the Utah Chapter of the Federal Bar Association for his work on an international child abduction case.
