Dr Emma Katz is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology at Edge Hill University in the UK. Her work has helped to shape understandings of coercive control globally.
Her book Coercive Control in Children’s and Mothers’ Lives is the first academic book to focus on children and coercive control.
Emma also brings her research to the public in an accessible way on her Substack platform Decoding Coercive Control with Dr Emma Katz, where she writes regular, bestselling articles that are read by tens of thousands of people in more than 100 countries around the world.
