Dr. Paramastri received her veterinary degree from the Bogor Agricultural University (Indonesia); completed a formal residency training program in laboratory animal medicine and a postdoctoral fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine (USA). She is an American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) board certified veterinarian and currently serves as Council of the AAALAC International.
With over 20 years of experience in veterinary and laboratory animal medicine, she has worked with wide variety of species in academia and contract research organization. Prior to join NUS she has served in the past in the role as clinical veterinarian, and leading animal resources program in a primate research center at Bogor Agricultural University (Indonesia); and a clinical veterinarian and as faculty (Assistant Professor), as well as directing a formal ACLAM residency training program and veterinary student externship, and directing training program in a division of animal care at Vanderbilt University (USA).
