Jonathan Castro, LMSW, is the Vice President of Supportive Housing at Lantern Community Services. He holds a Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work, where he also serves as an adjunct professor. With over 17 years of experience in the medical and nonprofit sectors, Jonathan has worked extensively in areas such as domestic violence, supportive housing, and HIV care and prevention. Jonathan is also a consultant for the Supportive Housing Network of New York’s Safety and Well-Being/Community of Practice Training Series. He also serves on the board of directors for the Youth Shelter Program of Westchester, Inc., contributing to the development and marketing committees. Jonathan is also a member of the executive committee for the Racial Equity in Supportive Housing (RESH) workgroup. Outside of his professional work, Jonathan is an avid plant enthusiast and incorporates horticultural therapy as a tool for healing and support for both clients and colleagues.
