Michael Golub, LMSW, is the Director of Curriculum Development for CUCS’ Institute for which is he responsible for developing new curricula and ensures that all Institute trainings are compliant with various accreditations as well as updating the institute’s trainings are continually updated using the latest research and best practices. He overseas and ensures that our trainees are engaging and communicate the goals of each training effectively. Michael can deliver all of the trainings in the CUCS Institute training portfolio (about 45 trainings). Prior to becoming the Director of Curriculum Development, Michael was a Senior Trainer at the CUCS Institute for the past 12 years. He developed trainings on Trauma Informed Care, Suicide Prevention, Understanding Hoarding Disorders, Mental Health Recovery, Overview of Serious Mental Illnesses, Housing First, Property Management & Services Coordination, Managing Stress, Working with Older Adults, Working with the Chronically Homeless; he continues to provide trainings on a wide variety of other topics. Additionally, he facilitates implementation support on several Evidence-Based Practices, including Critical Time Intervention, Wellness Self Management, Supported Employment, and Motivational Interviewing. Mr. Golub has over 35 years of experience in the human services/behavioural health care system. Prior to working at CUCS, Michael was the Director of Member Services for the Supportive Housing Network of New York, and worked in several supportive housing sites. Michael holds a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from SUNY Albany and is a Licensed Social Worker that graduated from Hunter College School of Social Work. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two daughters.
