Michelle Sanderson, MSW, SIFI, CASAC, (She/Her) serves as Associate Vice President of Social Services for Supportive Housing at Goddard Riverside, where she leads programs that provide stable housing and comprehensive social services for vulnerable New Yorkers experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and housing insecurity. With extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, social work, and behavioral health services, she has dedicated her career to advancing housing stability, community wellness, and equitable access to care. Michelle oversees supportive housing initiatives that help residents achieve long-term independence and improve quality of life through case management, mental health support, substance use counseling, and community-based services. Her work reflects a deep commitment to the Housing First model and trauma-informed care practices that prioritize dignity, stability, and recovery. Michelle is also a Professor at Columbia University, she teaches Foundation of Social Work Practice- Decolonizing Social Work; Power, Race, Oppression, & Prviledge. Her passion is to bring forth her expertise in social services leadership to aspiring leaders in the field, as a RELISH Mentor.
