Mahamadou Tunkara is a motivated and adaptable professional currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the City College of New York, expected to graduate in May 2026. With a strong academic foundation in family, developmental, and abnormal psychology, he has developed a deep interest in human behavior, community support, and research-driven solutions. Professionally, Mahamadou has built diverse experience across housing services, leadership, security, and operations. As a Program Aide at Broadway Housing Communities, he supports tenant stability by providing responsive services, assisting residents with housing concerns, and maintaining confidential case records. In his role as Seasonal Assistant Manager at Rooftop Cinema Club, he supervises team members, strengthens workplace efficiency, and ensures smooth operations through leadership and technical problem-solving. Additionally, his years of experience as a Fire Guard and Security Guard at Narrow Security and other security companies have strengthened his expertise in safety, surveillance, emergency response, and team supervision. Beyond his professional experience, Mahamadou demonstrated leadership and career development as a Braven Fellow with The Braven Accelerator, where he enhanced his communication, networking, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities while creating a structured career roadmap for long-term success. He was raised at Broadway Housing Communities (Dorothy Day), where he was mentored in reading, writing, mathematics, and even the arts. Then he became a mentor to children, primarily Litworld in 2014, and now the Youth Leader Institute (both at BHC), in hopes of giving back to his community what he received. At Broadway Housing, he had the chance to garden, attend Broadway shows, and join the young people's chorus, which helped shape who he is today. Known for his leadership, reliability, empathy, and adaptability, Mahamadou thrives in fast-paced environments and values continuous growth. With a passion for psychology, research, and community impact, he continues to seek opportunities to combine his interpersonal strengths, analytical mindset, and leadership abilities to make a meaningful difference.
