Since August 2014, Saeeda Dunston has served as Elmcor’s CEO, driving impactful advocacy and culturally competent programming for marginalized communities in Queens and across New York City. With extensive experience tackling poverty, anti-racism, and healthcare disparities, she has solidified Elmcor as a vital community anchor through strategic public-private partnerships. Under her leadership, Elmcor launched its first Supportive and Affordable Housing Project for older adults and individuals in recovery. Nationally, Dunston’s passionate grassroots advocacy laid the groundwork for the federal COVID-19 funeral assistance fund. She remains dedicated to health equity, social justice, and her family.
