My name is Lillian Chaparro, and I have been a participant with CP for the past three years. Before joining the CP ISS program, I lived with my parents and later in a group home. One of my greatest goals was to live independently, and through determination, hard work, and the support of my team, I have been able to achieve that goal. Today, I am proud to live in my own home with the support of CP staff, Community Habilitation Supervisor Deiedra Freire, and Community Habilitation Specialist Lisa Benitez. Living independently has given me the opportunity to grow in many ways. I have developed important life skills, increased my confidence, and learned how to take greater responsibility for managing my daily life. My journey continues to show me that with the right support and opportunities, individuals like me can achieve their goals and live independently. I am grateful for the services, guidance, and encouragement I have received, and I am proud of the progress I continue to make each day.
