Linda Kalin is the Executive Director of the Iowa Poison Control Center. She began her career as an ER nurse and in 1989 became Iowa’s first Certified Specialist in Poison Information. She was instrumental in the creation of the statewide PCC established in 2000. Recognized as a deeply engaged advocate, she has served on numerous community boards and committees as well as APC. Linda served on APC’s Board of Directors and Treasurer, Co-Chair of the Accreditation Committee, Chair of PCC Accreditation Standards Taskforce (PAST) in 2014 charged with rewriting the accreditation standards, and currently chairing PAST again which reconvened in 2023.
