Anelle Menendez, MD, CSPI began her toxicology journey in 2007 as a Poison Specialist and has served as the Quality Education Coordinator for the North Texas Poison Center since 2018. Over the course of her career, she has managed more than 100,000 poison calls. She also developed the poison center’s orientation and training program for new specialists. She finds deep fulfillment in watching SPIs grow in their knowledge, confidence, and careers. Her passion lies in sharing toxicology expertise with healthcare professionals to support the timely and effective use of toxicology-related knowledge, skills, and resources. Through promoting team-based care, her goal is to enhance the quality of treatment and outcomes for poisoned patients.
