Catie Munguia holds a Doctorate of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She brings extensive experience in both direct practice, including case management, school social work, and therapy, as well as advocacy and organizational leadership.
Her recent work focuses on collaborative approaches to addressing mental health needs and advancing ethical practice in bilingual mental health care. Through her role with Better Together, she has implemented a variety of collaborative initiatives and leads ongoing evaluation efforts to measure their impact.
Her work in ethics in bilingual mental health practice is grounded in her experience as a bilingual therapist and, most recently, includes leading a statewide mixed-methods research study examining ethical considerations in Spanish-English bilingual mental health practice.
