Jim is the Managing Partner of Tax for Ernst & Young’s (EY) Asia-Pacific area and prior to assuming his current role, he spent 4 years as EY’s global leader of Business Tax Services. Jim first joined EY’s US tax practice in 2001 as the Northeast Area’s partner in charge of the Federal Tax Services and Global Compliance and Reporting practices. Jim brings substantial experience in implementing complex, cash tax planning and tax function performance improvement engagements for companies across multiple industries, with particular emphasis on health science and technology.
Jim is a CPA with over 25 years of professional accounting experience. Jim earned his BBA in Accounting at the College of William and Mary in Virginia and later earned his Masters in Taxation from Georgetown University.
