In her role of Research Advisor at Hanover Research, Amy brings over 20 years of education and work history which combine to form a unique mix of both the business and higher education worlds. Amy most recently completed a PhD in Higher Education Administration at Old Dominion University in May 2019, and prior to that earned an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 2009. Amy is passionate about a mixed-methodological approach to higher education research and using data to tell a meaningful story. Her present work in higher education focuses largely on the unique challenges faced by community colleges; branding and integrated marketing; and issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion -particularly focusing on the impact of inclusion on student mental health. To support her desire for gaining new and timely knowledge, she is currently completing a Diversity and Inclusion Training Certificate at the ILR College at Cornell University.
