Resilience Under Pressure: The Role of CISM for Telecommunicators

Gabrielle Saucier is the Team Training Coordinator for the Maine NENA CISM Team, where she leads training initiatives and recruitment of new team members to support the wellbeing of first responders through critical incident stress management. She is also a dedicated peer support member with Cumberland County RCC, participating in team responses to debriefs and one-on-one support of coworkers in the wake of critical incidents.
Gabrielle has completed CISM training through ICISF and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences through University of Southern Maine, combining academic knowledge with real-world experience in the mental health field. She also interned with the Mental Health Unit at Sanford Police Department in the summer of 2023. Her passion lies in supporting first responders by fostering resilience and advocating for mental wellness.
