I started my career with the Maine State Police Investigative Records Division/Records Management Unit as an Office Associate II in September of 2014. I was responsible for reviewing civil & criminal records for release and reviewing FOIA requests for the public. I recently was involved with reviewing the Oct. 2023 Lewiston Mass Shooting for Release, which is Maine’s first mass causality case. I was promoted to the State Bureau of Identification under the Training Unit as a SBI Specialist in January of 2019. The unit is responsible for training agencies on Live Scans that are in the courts & jails. The unit was also responsible for all in-house training and all training for outside agencies. This could be anything from dealing with how to properly take fingerprints and submit to the FBI for criminal history or how to read rap sheets. I also worked with the State Police training troopers on the Morophomobile Units. I was then promoted up into the Access Integrity Unit in August of 2022 as a Management Analyst 1 for the unit where I currently am. I assist in providing statewide oversight of the Maine Electronic Telecommunications and Routing Operations (METRO) network, ensure data quality and integrity of records entered the Maine State Database and NCIC, ensure compliance with METRO and CJIS training and certification requirements. I am certified as a NLETS Instructor and Maine Criminal Justice Academy Certified Instructor, and I teach 40-hour classes for all new dispatchers within the state of Maine along with all Limited Access Agencies in the State.
