Breakout Session: Leading Your Wingmen
2:00 PM - 2:50 PM Mon
Captain Greg Wooldridge is a 27-year veteran of Naval Aviation. His flight experience is remarkable, with an incredible total of 8,300 flight hours—more than anyone in the Navy at the time he retired. The highlight of his career was leading the Navy’s famed Blue Angels a record three times, including the only team to fly an airshow over Moscow. After his second tour as the Blue Angels' flight leader, he commanded the Navy’s premier Naval Air Station in Lemoore, California. Under his leadership, the base received the President’s Installation of Excellence Award as the best base in the Navy. Delaying his Navy retirement, he answered an urgent call to return to a struggling Blue Angels team for a third leadership stint. He successfully turned the team around, leading them through a highly acclaimed 50th Anniversary year. Following his Navy career, Greg worked as a pilot for FedEx Express, where he was designated a Line Check Airman. In this role, he trained and conducted checks on fellow pilots. He was instrumental in enhancing aviation safety by implementing a debrief protocol unique to the Blue Angels. Drawing from his extensive experience leading high-performance organizations, Wooldridge began speaking to companies, associations, and teams across the U.S. and as far away as New Zealand. His clients have included Chevron, SAIC, Textron, and MassMutual, among others, all of whom have benefited from his firsthand knowledge of achieving unparalleled success. Wooldridge has consistently built trust and received the same confidence in return. He continues to pursue excellence in various new endeavors that call for leadership and determination.
