A 1990 graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School and a 1996 graduate of Brescia College, Dan went on to earn his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1999.
Throughout his college and law school years, Dan volunteered with numerous community organizations, igniting a passion for helping individuals navigate the challenges faced by those in poverty. This passion has driven his ongoing commitment to community service, particularly in Owensboro-Daviess County, where he has served on multiple boards and volunteered extensively.
Dan has also been a strong advocate for expanding access to healthcare. He played a pivotal role at DC-CAP, helping to grow their programs and increase the availability of medications for the uninsured and underinsured in the region. For 16 years, Dan has been deeply involved with St. Benedict’s Shelter, including six years as a full-time staff member, working directly with those in need. His dedication to helping individuals overcome obstacles and gain access to vital healthcare continues to be a cornerstone of his work.
As Clinic Program Director at Audubon Area Community Care Clinic, Dan brings his passion for the underserved together with his ongoing advocacy for healthcare access.
On a personal note, Dan has been married to his wife, Karen, for 31 years. They have two grown children: Matthew, 30, and Rosie, 27.
