SYMPOSIUM PRESENTER TITLE: Wetland hydrology 101 ABSTRACT: In this presentation, I will discuss how to determine if a sample plot meets the technical standards for wetland hydrology. I will cover topics including wetland hydrology field indicators, drier-than-normal and wetter-than-normal conditions, naturally problematic hydrology conditions, and monitoring for wetland hydrology. BIO: Kara Brooks is the Wetland Identification Program Coordinator at Wisconsin DNR since 2019. She administers the Assured Delineator Program statewide and acts as the wetland specialist in the southeast and south-central areas of the state. She has delineated or confirmed tens of thousands of wetland boundaries in the Midwest.
