Gary Weber is U.S. Director of Food Safety and Contamination Prevention at Crisis24. He is responsible for food production risk analysis, design of prevention measures, regulatory and crisis response to recall events. Prior to joining Crisis24 in 2019, Gary was National Program Leader at the United States Department of Agriculture, Executive Director of Regulatory Affairs at NCBA, FDA CORE Prevention Manager, among a host of other high-level roles. Over the course of his career, he has earned numerous certifications: FDA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI); FDA Food Defense Training Certificate; and FDA Produce Safety Training Certificate. Fun fact: Gary appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show twice addressing the issue of Mad Cow Disease and U.S. prevention measures. He received the FDA Commissioners special citation for his efforts to prevent Mad Cow disease in the United States. Gary holds multiple degrees: a Bachelor and Master of Science from Purdue University, as well as a PhD from Michigan State University.
