Tracy Armagost is beginning her 34th Season with the Santa Fe Opera.
Tracy’s first position with the Santa Fe Opera was as a Properties Carpenter Apprentice.
Over the years, she has also worked as part of the Development Office and the Housing Office to name a few.
For the last 20 plus years Tracy has been at the opera as the Production and Recruiting Coordinator. Her main responsibilities include the programming and recruiting for the Apprentice Program for Technicians and facilitating the hiring for the seasonal production Staff.
When Tracy first began in her current position, she assisted in expanding and developing the Stage Management Fellowship program in Region V as well as other regions for KCACTF. Over the years she has interviewed thousands of students for seasonal positions at the Santa Fe Opera, conducted workshops and served as Design respondent and Production respondent for KCACTF. Tracy also yearly attends SETC and USITT.
In 2014, she was honored to receive a Kennedy Center Gold Medallion in Region V.
When not travelling for work (or pleasure), Tracy creates single addition artist books. She also creates monoprints and mixed media collages, which she incorporates into her books.
