NSDAR Recording Secretary General Peggy Carney Troxell was admitted to the Davie Poplar Chapter, NSDAR in 1995, and transferred to the General Davie Chapter, NSDAR in 2007. Peggy has served the National Society as Vice President General, Class of 2018; State Regent of North Carolina 2012-2015 and National Chair, DAR School Committee 2016-2019. Her record of service at the national level also includes Crossnore Board of Trustees, Hillside Board of Trustees, Hindman Board of Trustees, KDS Board of Trustees, Tamassee Board of Trustees, DAR Council, Advisory Committee, VAVS Representative, Durham VAMC, Genealogy Consultant, Museum, Correspondent Docent, House Committee, Tiers; Minutes Approval as well as Guardian Trust. She is a Sustaining Supporter and a Pending Life Member. At the state level, she is an Honorary State Regent, and has served as Regent; Vice Regent; Recording Secretary; NC State Officers Club President; NC State Chairmen’s Club Charter Member; NC Chapter Regent’s Club Charter Member; and was the NC State Outstanding DAR Museum Corresponding Docent in 2008.
