Dr Jessica Lai graduated from Bond University with her MBBS and completed her Master of Medicine through University of Sydney and Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education through Flinders University. She is the Clinical Superintendent at Liverpool Hospital and an Endocrinology VMO at Canterbury Hospital. Her research has encompassed areas including diabetes, thyroid disorders, general endocrinology and ophthalmology. She has published her findings in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at national and international conferences. She has also presented work to the NSW Agency of Clinical Innovation regarding inpatient hyperglycaemia and co-authored a textbook chapter regarding diabetic retinopathy and cardiovascular risk. She maintains an interest in medical education, general endocrinology, with a focus on young adults with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, prevention of diabetes complications and patients with thyroid disorders.
