Dr. Lesley Eason was awarded the National Advanc-ED Leading by Example Designation, and she was honored for her exemplary leadership in education and for leading and empowering her community to ensure that all leaders meet their potential, and for initiating growth, change, and innovation to create opportunities for every leader. As a member of the FranklinCovey Education Practice, she has worked closely with all aspects of Leader in Me for high schools, which honors student credentialing and the importance of students being ready for their career, college, leadership, and life. Dr. Eason has also done extensive work with FranklinCovey’s trust work, district partnerships, strategic planning and leadership development. During her career as a public educator, Dr. Eason was selected as the District Principal of the Year and the District Teacher of the Year. She has extensively researched and presented content related to globalization, data-informed decision-making, career academy implementation, and leadership across all roles and organizations.. Dr. Lesley Eason currently serves as a FranklinCovey Senior Consultant and Leadership Coach. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor in East Carolina University’s Principal Fellows Program. Previously, Dr. Eason served in the Onslow County School System for 30 years as a high school English teacher, assistant principal, principal, and the Associate Superintendent for Instructional Services and Continuous Improvement. Dr. Eason is deeply passionate about all things related to teaching, learning, and leadership, and has researched and presented at numerous conferences and in a variety of publications. Most recently, she has published her first book, Leading the Calling. Lesley is most proud of her advocacy for all leaders and organizations, her 32-year marriage to husband Bob, her two sons, Trey and Gage, and a desire to continue to make a positive difference.
