Plenary 3: How to Form New Collaborative Relationships / Room 820
3:15 PM - 4:15 PM Tue
Adam Seth Levine is the SNF Agora Professor of Health Policy and Management in the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. Many questions pique his interest and excitement. The top ones are: “When do people with diverse forms of expertise and experience work together to improve communities they care about?” and “What is/can be/should be the role of science in democratic decision-making?” In 2024 his second book offering new arguments and data on these questions, entitled Collaborate Now! How Expertise Becomes Useful in Civic Life, was published by Cambridge University Press. He has also published research findings in a variety of political science, public health, transportation planning, climate change, communication, law, and economics journals. In addition to his academic work, he is president and co-founder of research4impact, a nonprofit that puts many of his research findings into practice by creating powerful new collaborative relationships between researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.
