Dawn Magnusson, PT, PhD earned a PhD in Population Health Sciences from the University of Wisconsin and completed a two-year Academic Pediatrics Fellowship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She is an associate professor at the University of Colorado Physical Therapy Program where she also serves as Director of the DPT-MPH Dual Degree Program and Director of Community Engagement. Dawn's research leverages community-based emancipatory research principles, within a population health framework, to understand and reduce health disparities. She currently partners with caregivers and early childhood professionals to co-create community-driven solutions that reduce racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities in children's use of developmental services.
