J.D. Smith, PhD is Associate Professor of Population Health Sciences in the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah where he directs the Dissemination and Implementation Science Core of the Utah Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute. His work is focused primarily on the development and application of innovative implementation research methods with a focus on primary care and behavioral health. He is MPI of the NHLBI-funded CIRCL-Chicago Implementation Research Center, the NIMH-funded Mental Health, Earlier ALACRITY Research Center, and Associate Editor of the journals Implementation Science, Prevention Science, and Families, Systems, & Health. Dr. Smith was previously Associate Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine where he was Associate Director of the NIDA-funded Center for Prevention Implementation Methodology.
