Daniel Whitaker, PhD, is a Distinguished University Professor in the School of Public Health at Georgia State University. He is founding director of the National SafeCare Training and Research Center, which disseminates the SafeCare parenting model, nationally and internationally. His research has focused on intervention and implementation studies in family violence prevention, especially child maltreatment. Dan has published over 150 works, has received over $50 million in grant funds for his research, and is past Editor of Child Maltreatment.
