Workshop 3 : Leadership
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM Wed
Christina Day holds the position of Farm Services Navigator at the New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health (NYCAMH). NYCAMH is a non-regulatory organization working to improve ag safety and health on New York farms through the provision of outreach and education services, research, and clinical services. NYCAMH houses practical programs like the John May Farm Safety Fund and National ROPS Rebate Program which financially assist farmers in making safety improvements. Christina has worked at NYCAMH for five years, beginning as an educator who was providing safety trainings and conducting farm hazard assessments, then moving into this newly created position where she is working to connect farms with resources and services they need. Christina grew up on a small dairy farm in Delaware County and studied Agricultural Science at Cornell University.
