Gary McConahay PhD has over 40 continuous years of treatment and management experience in community mental health programs and in suicide prevention. He is recently retired as the Co-Founder and Clinical Director of ColumbiaCare Services, Inc. and the Director of its Center for Suicide Prevention. He has served on statewide and national advisory groups and expert panels, including for both National Suicide Prevention Strategies and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. He has worked as a Mobile Crisis Clinician and as an Oregon Senior Mental Health Investigator. He has professionally consulted and trained on suicide and related subjects with individuals, counties, states and every branch of the US military in 23 states and 9 countries or US territories.
