Kathy Turner is the Mental Health promotion and prevention coordinator for Clackamas County Behavioral Health. Key goals are to foster help seeking and help giving to those who may be experiencing mental health challenges, thoughts of suicide or other emotional/psychological emergencies. She offers presentations and teaches several suicide prevention and mental health first aid courses, and has trained thousands of community members and professionals. She is the co-founder of the Suicide Prevention Coalition in Clackamas County and is passionate about mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Kathy was recently named a top Mental Health First Aid Instructor in Oregon by the National Council. Kathy loves being in the natural beauty of Oregon and the Northwest – as EO Wilson writes - “Just being surrounded by bountiful nature, rejuvenates and inspires us.“
