Stacey Palmer has dedicated her career to the behavioral health community for more than 15 years. She currently holds a position of leadership at Presbyterian Medical Services (PMS), as the Director of Behavioral Health & Integrated Clinical Services. In her current role within PMS, Stacey provides oversight, clinical guidance, and clinical integration practices through innovative models of care, with a focus on systems improvement and quality in the delivery of services to underserved populations at higher risk for disparities. Stacey oversees the performance and clinical practice of more than 200 employees, spanning 40 behavioral health sites across the state of New Mexico, including rural, frontier, and urban communities. Stacey is committed to systems improvement and providing quality and safe clinical services in Community Mental Health, with an emphasis on data-driven care, integration of services focused on whole-person care, evidenced-based practices, improvement of clinical performance and clinical outcomes. In addition to her strong focus on systems-based approaches, Stacey strongly supports leveraging patient engagement and activation through the utilization of clinical/community resources and modalities to leverage patient strengths to ensure positive clinical outcomes and patient accountability for their health and wellbeing. Throughout her career, Stacey has provided training and technical assistance (T/TA) to other organizations, including quality clinical care, organizational development, and use of clinical data. Additionally, Stacey serves as the Vice-Chair for the New Mexico Behavioral Health Providers Association (NMBHPA) to further her commitment to providing support the behavioral health community and her well-respected role as a leader in supporting the development and growth of strong behavioral health systems in New Mexico.
