Rachel White is a supervisor for the Common Services Department at the Penn State University Libraries. She has worked as a library supervisor for the past 7 years coming to the Libraries with prior hospitality and retail management experience. She provides a high level of customer services and co-leads a team of 15 full-time and 60+ part-time staff, ensuring efficiency from the time the doors open until they close. Rachel provides support to all of the full-time staff as a coach and mentor. She supports the Common Services Manager by leading the team in her absence and by providing valuable feedback for managing the operations, creating policies, and determining hours of operations for the entire complex.
