Dr. Carmen Tejeda-Delgado is an associate professor in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Learning Sciences in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Prior to TAMUCC, Dr. Tejeda-Delgado was an assistant professor at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where she taught in the Educational Leadership Program and worked with doctoral students. And prior to that she worked for The Texas A&M Unversity System and Texas Education Agency and PEICS (P-16 Educational Improvement Consortium) in an effort to improve math and science curriculum in the surrounding Region II education district. Dr. Tejeda-Delgado has nine years of experience working in public schools, where she held the positions of curriculum and teacher advisor as well as a classroom teacher in regular, bilingual and ELL classroom settings. She has had a number of manuscripts published in the area of Educational Leadership and Development, and her research interests include bilingual education, leadership in education as it pertains to teacher quality, and No Child Left Behind (NCLB) implications on today's classroom. Dr. Tejeda-Delgado holds a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and Texas A&M University-Kingsville, attained in 2004.
