Brent has been active in the onsite wastewater industry throughout all areas of Western Canada since 2005 and exclusively in the design of onsite wastewater systems since 2008. He has extensive knowledge of Provincial Sewerage System Regulation and Standards. Brent has collaborated as a subject matter expert on many industry initiatives including region specific bylaws adding further environmental protection specific to water courses. Since 2010, Brent has participated in technical and regulatory initiatives at all levels of government, universities, and technical committees. He has served on regional Liquid Waste Management Committees and contributed to many public and practitioner education programs. In 2009 Brent was elected as one of the founding directors of WCOWMA-BC serving as president for five years. Currently, Brent is one of five founding directors of the Canadian Onsite Technical Resource Association (COTRA), an organization dedicated to scientific rational advancements in the onsite industry.
