Jamie Schenkeveld, P.Eng., is a principal and co-owner of L&M Engineering Limited in British Columbia, with over 18 years of field experience and more than eight years as a professional engineer specializing in decentralized water and wastewater systems. His work focuses on the planning, design, and regulatory approval of small wastewater systems for rural, remote, and Indigenous communities throughout BC, with extensive experience navigating the Sewerage System Regulation, the Sewerage System Standard Practice Manual, and the Municipal Wastewater Regulation. Jamie regularly works at the interface between system design and regulatory interpretation, supporting practitioners and authorities in developing practical, defensible wastewater solutions. He is an active industry contributor and currently serves on the board of the Western Canada Onsite Wastewater Management Association of BC.
